I was trained as a teacher and taught in the UK in sunny Manchester before moving to the UAE in 2016. I was previously Head of History at the British School Al Khubairat in Abu Dhabi, and for the past two years as Head of History at JESS in Dubai. Both schools have an excellent reputation for academic success and it has been splendid to have the opportunity to develop the Departments in these schools. My work at BSAK was heavily focused on the transition to new specification GCSEs and A Levels, alongside laying the foundations for the introduction of One to One devices around the Google ecosystem. Moving to JESS brought a shift to Microsoft OneNote and Teams environment as well as a change to IB at post-16, providing a broad foundation of curricula and EdTech to get my teeth into.
