Dr. Ashok Kumar is an experienced and eminent educationist, an able administrator and a man with a highly developed sense of social consciousness. As a distinguished scholar, great academician, Dr. Kumar is imbued with ideas and theories that have changed the face of education and how it is imparted at the institutions he has worked with. For his extraordinary efforts, Dr. Ashok Kumar was awarded the ‘Best Principal Award’ in 2001 Instituted by the Central Board of Secondary education (Indian National education Body) by the Hon. Minister of Education. He was also awarded the ‘National Award’ for the Best Principal in 2002 by the President of India. Dr. Ashok Kumar has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the Indian High School for 23 years. His administration brought the school to the highest levels of accomplishments in the UAE. The school has received ‘Outstanding’ rating for six consecutive years and also the only school to receive the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Award for Distinguished School and School Administration Award twice. Dr. Kumar also holds key positions at various others programs and associations including the role of Content Advisor – What Works (Workshop series of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai), International Associate Inspector, Member-Greater Good Circle – KHDA and Founder Chairman of the Council of CBSE Affiliated Schools in the Gulf. Dr. Ashok was also the winner of the "Lifetime Achievement" Award at the GESS Education Awards 2019.
