Sharyn is the Head of Information Technology Services for the Brisbane Catholic Education diocese, a Prep to Year 12 learning community of 146 schools, 76,000 students and 12,000 staff.  She has a unique balance of education and technology experience and has worked across both state and catholic systems, as classroom teacher, learning and teaching advisor, ICT consultant and Manager of School Information Systems. Sharyn is passionate about creating positive user experiences and delivering transformational digital solutions that pave the way to better student outcomes and streamlined business processes. Her work has included the development of the ‘Staff Digital Skills Program”, an on-site, in-classroom, professional learning initiative based on coaching and modelling practices, which increased teacher’s digital literacy and their use of enterprise systems. She also guided the ITS team through the disruption of COVID19, including the enablement of online learning and teaching activities and remote IT support. She is currently responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of 90 technical and specialist staff to deliver user-centric technology solutions within the complex and dynamic Brisbane Catholic Education environment.
