Revathi Srinivasan

Director Education, Singhania Schools and Principal

A devout educationist with over 30 years of experience and holder of several specialized degrees in her field, Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan is a versatile educator. She is the Director – Education of Singhania Schools in Thane, Vapi and Chhindwara and Principal of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane.

Under her leadership, the School has bagged numerous awards, including the British Council’s “International School Award”, and has received wide recognition in India and abroad for its focus on inclusive education, faculty competence, thought leadership, design thinking, innovations in pedagogy and assessments, parenting, sports and culture.

She is an invited member of various committees in education for the Government of Maharashtra, MCGM/ BMC and the CISCE Board.

Her immense contribution to the field of education has been recognized with several prestigious awards such as the Times Icon Award 2019, Premium Rotary Vocational Excellence Award, Thane District’s Navdurga Award and NDTV Award for Excellence in Inclusive Education. She has been recognized by the British Council for leading the “Integration of International Learning in the School” and has also been felicitated by HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex &theConsul-General of Australia for her years of committed service to the cause of Education.

She has published articles in various news-papers and educational magazines. Her article on “Leadership”, which she presented at the Harvard University, has received wide recognition. She was also a speaker at prominent forums, such as the International Early Childhood Education Conference, the 3rd International Conference on School Education – Edufest 2016 and EdgeMakers’“Transforming our education system to create cutting-edge Innovators and Entrepreneurs” at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. She was also invited to the United Kingdom for a “Global Immersion Programme with UK Universities”, to facilitate academic development programs with Universities in UK with special focus on Design, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.

A fine personality with a compassionate disposition, Mrs. Srinivasan’s penchant for societal transformation motivates her to run a free vocational training center for street boys, helping them to lead a better life. Besides, her service to all the rural schools in Yeoor (Thane) and Wada has helped students to receive quality education. Her other pursuits include conducting sessions on primary teaching, guiding teacher trainees from Denmark, The Netherlands and Australia, mentoring students in social responsibility through Rural Immersion Projects, encouraging their active participation in Model United Nations (MUN) sessions and avidly promoting them to engage in physical activities and fine arts.
